Billing & Subscription FAQ

How do I upgrade my plan?

Go to your Billing page and select the plan you'd like to upgrade to. You'll be redirected to Stripe's secure checkout to complete your purchase.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Visit your Billing page and click "Manage Subscription" to open the Stripe Customer Portal. From there, you can cancel your subscription. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period, and no further charges will occur.

What happens when I cancel?

When you cancel:
  • You keep access to paid features until your billing period ends
  • Your account automatically downgrades to the Free tier
  • Your files remain accessible (if within Free tier limits)
  • No additional charges will occur

If you're over the Free tier storage limit after downgrade, you can still download files but cannot upload new ones until you're under the limit.

Can I get a refund?

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. After 14 days, subscription payments are non-refundable, but you can cancel anytime to stop future charges. Read our full Refund Policy for details.

How do I update my payment method?

Click "Manage Subscription" on your Billing page to access the Stripe Customer Portal. There you can update your card, view invoices, and manage your payment methods.

Do subscriptions auto-renew?

Yes, all paid subscriptions (Plus and Pro) automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually). You'll receive an email reminder before renewal. Cancel anytime before the renewal date to avoid being charged.

What file types can I upload?

Vaultica supports all common file types. However, for security reasons, certain executable files may be restricted.

How secure is my data?

Your files are stored securely on Cloudflare R2 with encryption at rest. We use industry-standard security practices and comply with GDPR. See our Privacy Policy for details.

What are the storage limits?

  • Free: 50 MB storage, 50 MB max file size, 10 uploads/day
  • Plus: 50 GB storage, 1 GB max file size, unlimited uploads
  • Pro: 500 GB storage, 5 GB max file size, unlimited uploads

What about AI features?

AI-powered tagging, categorization, and summaries are active for all users. Free accounts get 300 Credits/mo/month. Plus subscribers receive 5K Credits/mo/month for full analysis, and Pro subscribers get 50K Credits/mo/month with priority processing. Credits are charged per AI Insight Retrieval, which may be served from cache or generated in real-time.
